The Cape Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore is thankful for our many individual and corporate donors, because without them, we wouldn’t have much of a store!
We Accept
We accept donations of new and reusable building materials, home remodeling supplies, appliances, and furniture. In general, we accept items that are in good, working condition that our customers might be interested in giving a new home. If you are wondering if your items meet our donation guidelines, give us a call at (573) 651-9080.
Drop Off
We accept donations dropped off at our store. We will usually be able to give you a hand unloading, but please bring your own help if you’re in a hurry. We will provide a receipt for your donated items. Feel free to bring a written list of your items if you would like specific information for your records.
Pick Up
If you are unable to transport a large donation, we offer a pick-up service in the Cape Area. Our pick-up service is free of charge, but we do ask for your patience.
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any items that do not meet our current donation guidelines. If you have any questions about making a donation, stop by or give us a call!
Valuing your donation
The ReStore is unable to provide a monetary value for your in-kind donation. We will, however, list the items on your donation receipt as specifically as you would like for your records. Please consult with your tax preparer, especially for donations of high value. Consider preparing an itemized list, taking pictures of your items, and/or having your items appraised prior to donation.
